These scissors are a bit large (10 inches). The blades are very sharp and cut well. I first bought them to cut thick carpets. The angle of the handle allows the blades to wrap around the ground. The fleshy scissors are strong enough to withstand any bend when cutting heavy material (carpet backing). This made it easy to trim the rug to just the right size , to make room for the carpet/composite floor installation. reconciliation Very good scissors, strong and sharp. They can also be repeatedly sharpened and adjusted as they become dull. For just a little more than today's $10 scissors, I think I got a really good pair of scissors that I can work with for a long time.
