I bought it as a present for my husband. He is an avid gamer and has a very short temper, so you can imagine a running computer getting him even hotter. He used small portable USB fans, but they were weak. This telescopic fan works great behind its monitor. It is mounted above the screen and tilted down to blow directly onto it. It uses the lowest and second settings to give it more runtime, but it charges fast enough. Why not get a regular plug-in fan, you might ask? Well, as is the case with most electronics and small spaces, cables are a nuisance and make a tidy space look cluttered. It also makes it easy to place the floor, shelf, table. And our cats can't chew on a nonexistent chord. :) It was worth what I thought was a huge price. The only thing that would make it 110% would be if it came in black ;)
