This article helped me and my macaw figure out what he likes and doesn't like. Earlier this year I inherited my father's 25 year old blue and gold macaw. Its diet consisted mostly of seeds with very little variety. For months I struggled to find anything he liked. I spent a lot and he spent a lot. He was so stressed that I researched further and tried again to slowly introduce a healthy diet with this mix. He grabbed it quickly with fewer casualties than any of my other attempts. However, I was still not satisfied (not the company's fault) with how much he wasted because this mix is expensive. I could tell what he was eating and after the package was gone I bought individually what he liked. Sometimes I try to add something new to find the perfect healthy mix!
