We love this frame, its looks and the fact that it can hold 12 photos. Plastic "glass" does not bother us at all. We use it to store the unique bird photos we take on our birding trips and it does a great job with its bizarre shape. However, you should be aware that you will likely need to trim about 1/16 of an inch. one side and one end of each picture to fit in the frame. The example photos accompanying the frame are cropped at the rounded corners of the CNC cutouts at the corners. Despite this, the sample images are a little over 1/16 inch smaller than 4 x 6 inches and still fit snugly. Each of the rounded corner cutouts has thin slots designed to accommodate the corners of your photo. Holding them in place is fine, although you may have to fiddle a little to get the photo corners into the slots. If you don't crop the photo before trying to fit the corners into the slots, you will find that the photo cannot lie flat, it is simply too big for the size of the hole. I don't know if this is a programming error in the software. used to control a router making clippings or if it's just a design flaw. There is no reason why a manufacturer should continue to allow this manufacturing defect. For them, it's easy to fix. It's annoying having to crop two sides of each picture to fit the frames. We're going to flesh this out because we like the overall shape of the frame. I just want you to be aware of the issue before making a purchase. Maybe ours is from a bad production, but still there would be at least a few dozen that would have the same problem. UPDATE 2/14/2013: We have received two more of these frames and are promoting them as much as the first. one. Yes, we still need to crop the images a bit. We take care of this. Here's a hanging tip: the sawtooth hanger that comes with the frame will not work with a typical picture hanger unless the hangar itself is visible above the frame. Phew, that's not nice. This is easy to fix. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the two sawtooth hangar screws. Move the hanger straight down to the frame under the top vertical image, center it over the narrow frame and use a small nail and hammer to make the first screw holes in the new location. Hit the nail hard enough to make an impression about 1/8 inch deep. Now screw the sawtooth bracket to this new location. It's a little fiddly to put the hanger on the frame above the wall mounted picture hanger, but once you've done that you won't see the wall hanger anymore.
