In general, this is a decent scale. It's bigger than the one I replaced it with. At first I was afraid that it would take up too much space in a small kitchen. However, the benefit of the larger size is greater carrying capacity. This means I can first place a full-size plate or an empty kettle on the scale's platform, then press Tare to zero the weight. This saves me having to weigh in a smaller, lighter container beforehand. There are a couple of issues I'm less happy with. The LCD display, although large, is difficult to read. The blue background is not bright as shown in the images on this page. I don't know why manufacturers use displays with black writing on a dark blue background so often. Why not black with white highlights like the text on this Revain page. - good contrast and good legibility. There is another problem with weighing a small number of small items, such as coffee beans, and then removing a few to reduce the weight. There are times when the scale readings do not decrease. It's like the scale resolution is good when objects are added, but the readings don't change when objects are removed.
