Review on Honeywell Personal Dryer Black HPD 100B by Piyush Ventura

This is a slightly overpriced product and I doubt any of the reviewers have used it at all. Because nobody has mentioned disadvantages of using it yet. It seemed like a great idea and a welcome gadget in our home. But it just didn't meet our expectations. The good news is that it offers a contactless way to dry your hands. I thought it would be great to keep next to the kitchen sink considering how often I have to wash my hands while preparing food. We live in the country, I cook all the time because we rarely eat out. So I expected it to work pretty well there. But it wasn't what I expected. Here are my two biggest problems with it. The first problem is that it doesn't get hot when you first use it. If you use an industrial dryer in the bathroom of a large store or restaurant, it will heat up immediately. As a result, it does not get hot when you use it for the first time. You have to run it a second, sometimes even a third time before the air gets really hot. It starts blowing cool, then warm, then hot. That's how many times I've had to use it 3 times in a row to actually dry my hands. And it defeats the purpose of promoting it as a hand dryer that can dry your hands in the first 15 seconds. Even if you shake excess water off your hands first and rub them together during use, your hands just won't dry completely in the first 15 seconds. Dry when you rub your hands. The motion detector does not work. And you can always move your hands a little while drying. Especially when our little girl tried to use it. This is a cool looking device. It's not particularly loud. And it really works, but you need to use it 2-3 times to completely dry your hands. I would also think twice about using it in the bathroom as it basically sucks everything out of the air and blows it onto your hands. Which isn't great considering what hovers invisibly in the air after using the bathroom. It seemed like a great idea. Now we just don't use it. It's easier, faster, and more effective to simply use paper towels or a kitchen towel to dry your hands. I could always give it to a friend but he might get a little annoyed that it takes multiple tries to dry his hands. So I don't think I would recommend this to anyone right now, especially given the asking price ($100 at the time of this review).
