When delivered they were a little hard and brittle at high frequencies. The saxophone and trumpet had an undesirable aftertaste. After a week of burning devices connected to my I-Pad, the sharpness has leveled off pretty well. These aren't flat-response headphones, they crank up the mid-range but aren't overpowering. I have an older pair of more expensive single driver Klipsch S4s which have a flatter, more accurate response but a more pleasing TRN cleanliness and airiness. For everyday listening, TRN is a good choice. They work for all genres of music. I wouldn't use them for serious mixing, but I would check the mix with them. They are comfortable and fit well in the ears. I've always had issues with Klipsch. Overall, I highly recommend them for casual listening. Very clean and airy top, lots of bass and not tiring at all. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars for the sound is because they don't have a flat response, but then again most people don't like flat response so most people should like them. Great value for money for comfortable headphones with great sound.
