I am very fortunate to still be able to work during Corona times, but my newly assigned work-from-home area needed to be cleaned up a bit. I've also been fortunate enough to have a few minor upgrades: a cheap 4k "monitor" (smallest, cheapest, open box, most popular Vizio UHD TV Best Buy) and a factory refurbished Bose Solo 5. After wall mounting the screen I got it I initially decided not to mount Bose because it's so small and didn't have much usable space anyway. I then found that a very thick cable from my Corsair keyboard had to run around or over the Bose and was actually interfering with the IR signal from the remote (the remote is a must as there are no buttons at all on this soundbar). I decided to use this SoundBass mount to elevate the soundbar about 3 inches off my desk, which was enough for the keyboard cable to pass through from underneath and actually has the added benefit of allowing the keyboard to sit flush with the wall underneath the soundbar to reclaim them lots of desk space for non-computer projects like soldering and gluing etc. Of course I sized the hole for the drywall anchor and it just popped out so I didn't use the included hardware so I can don't tell if it's good or bad. Instead, I used some small drum bolts that I luckily had from another project (I've always had better luck and more confidence with them anyway). Distances, Finds Once I found the center of the TV and marked everything, I was able to attach the wall mount in just a few minutes. It took a few tries to get the Bose to fit properly, but once in place it was completely secure. I had to loosen a screw on the bracket to align everything so everything looked level. If I were you, I wouldn't yank or put anything on the soundbar, but I don't think it's going anywhere. In this case, it helps that the soundbar doesn't have to be touched as there are no buttons on it, but I found that Bose has a straight plug for the power supply, which is silly considering the bar is wall-mountable is designed. . A 90 degree connector will likely last longer since the cable has to bend at least a little when the handlebars are that close to the wall. The 1" gap behind the stem really gives the Solo 5 room for bass when installed. Port works and everything sounds pretty good for a desktop soundbar and this is the app where this speaker seems to be garnering the best reviews. When that all falls down (soundbar, not the company) I'll update this review with a bunch of stars.) There are plenty of mounting options for this speaker at Revain and Bay, so don't pay the outrageous $24.99 for Bose asks your piece of metal.
