Let me start by saying that when used correctly it looks great and protects delicate door edges from chipped paint and premature rusting. However, this was my first install and I wanted to make sure I was doing it right. Read the directions, read testimonials from fellow regulars, and watch videos to prepare. After all that, I still partially spoiled the first application by over-tightening the wrap, which caused stretch marks to form. I thought I was going to mess things up somehow, so I started with the rear passenger-side door (the one that's usually rarely used or looked at in detail). Once I got the hang of it, the other doors turned out great! Now that I have it installed and know where to look for faults, I can spot stretch marks up close. But after letting the tape dry in the sun for a day (I think the heat helped a bit) no one will notice and the tape will still work as intended, and this is my everyday car, not a hobby car, so you can deal with it .
