I placed an order anyway after seeing all the bad reviews because it seems like the only option that can entertain two kids at the same time and I have to say I do am glad i did that. First, it is a child's toy. And yes, there is static and parts fall off easily and you have to "kiss" the mic to hear the sound, and even if you "kiss" the volume is still not very high and there is no way to adjust the volume. But aside from the static noise, which is understandable for its price and purpose, I'm happy with all of the other "cons" I just mentioned. Why? Why do I like it when parts fall apart instead of breaking? Why do I NOT want the volume to be high? Because it serves my 2 and 5 year olds... Oh I don't care about kissing with a mic, nor do its real users. In general, this is a good toy.
