I haven't had much luck with hubs. You buy one, sometimes it works, doesn't have that much connectivity, or just doesn't show up on your computer. I'm not a techie when it comes to peripherals, but the only thing that worked well for me with the same connection as connecting directly to your computer was what came with the X-Box.
