The charger worked initially but after about 3 weeks it started making noise and the bottom of the laptop next to the charging port became very hot. I still have the original charger and it works great and the bottom of the laptop doesn't get hot when I'm using it. So clearly something went wrong or went wrong with this charger. I bought this aftermarket charger to take with me when I travel so if I accidentally leave it somewhere I still have a way to charge the car.
