I've tried several different smoothies with this thing and they weren't all blended - still leftovers of frozen fruit, large chunks of nuts not blended, even foods like protein powder had trouble with it fade in completely. This was all used at full speed (speed 5) of a full sized jar blender (I haven't even tried small jars but expected them to be worse as the blade is much smaller. I wouldn't recommend this blender as my 10 year old recommend old blender worked/does much better It's time to buy a Vitamix.
