Review on Kegco Standard Kegerator Refrigerator Conversion by Ryan Marx

AMAZING PRODUCT - REFRIGERATORS, FREEZERS & ICE MAKER

First, my husband has long wanted to turn our spare fridge into a kegerator. I finally broke down and got him this set as a Father's Day gift. I was a bit disappointed that I paid for express delivery and it took a week for delivery. Upon arrival the fuel gauge had cracked. So I called and a new sensor was sent in the mail and arrived 2 days later. Installing the kit in our prepared fridge was easy as my husband has the tools. All it took was a drill with a 1" shank hole saw and all went well. We got a bottle of CO2 from a local sweat supplier for less than $20 and a 1/2 keg (favorite beer name here). It took him a while to equalize the pressure in the keg and stay constant at 12psi. We decided it was because we brought the keg, put it in the fridge, plugged it in, turned on the gas, pressured it to the recommended pressure and got FOAM. Let the keg sit for an hour or two and you're good to go. I highly recommend this item to anyone who enjoys draft beer from home.

Pros
  • LEVER HANDLE KEG CONNECTOR: This NSF approved Kegco KT85D-L "D" system keg connector has a heavy duty forged nickel plated brass body with a stainless steel probe and is suitable for use with all American style D-System Sankey barrels. The lever handle design is easy to use - just pull the handle and then lower it to connect the keg. The 55psi relief valve makes this coupler even more comfortable to use by allowing the pressurized gas to escape before it gets into your keg.
