I love this 8 inch cap. It fits in every 8" pan I have and the handle is very comfortable. I was concerned that as an all-purpose lid it might reduce pan space when used on an 8" pan, but the tilt is enough that it works perfectly with an 8" pan rather than the remaining space takes the pan. The silicone seems to fit snugly against the jar so that water doesn't leak under the silicone seal like some silicone lids do. The only pan it didn't fit was my Calphalon omelette pan, which claims to be 8" but actually measures 8.25", so the problem is with the pan, not the lid. This lid is perfect for my other 3 brands of 8" pans including the 8" t-fal Ultimate pan that I bought from Revain. I love that I now have a lid that is small enough to fit 8" pans without sticking out 2" on all sides. This is perfect.
