I had a specific goal for this

I wanted to untangle all those easily detachable power cords and charging cables that lead to devices on my disabled spouse's bedside table. I attached the power supply to the vertical table post with Velcro. Then I connected all these chords with an extension cord. The cord of the latter was also attached to the part of the bedside table that runs under the bed and then to the socket. So I only had a bundle on the ground that couldn't be run over by the way it was secured!
