Review on Enhanced Redragon K582 SURARA RGB LED Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with 104 Keys, Tactile Blue Switches by David Skyline

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My first mechanical keyboard - great!

I never wanted to switch to a mechanical keyboard. I didn't really see the point, and I certainly didn't care about the extra noise. Now I've addressed, but actually it's not about the privileges and advantages of a mechanical keyboard over a standard keyboard. It was a budget keyboard, I think I bought it for just under $50. It's very well made, has extra switches and a key puller, and the buttons aren't too high to be intrusive. I was looking for a per key RGB keyboard and this one has it. You can customize individual colors for each key, which is amazing. But even without the software, the attached charts and patterns are AMAZING. They transition seamlessly from color to color, and you can speed them up or slow them down as you see fit. There are some reactive ones that speed up when you type fast. There are some where the keyboard doesn't light up until you type, and either a single key lights up, or a single line wave shoots away from your keystrokes, or a wave cascades across the keyboard. Some stay simple, some slowly fade in all directions, some are random per key, fading and changing color slightly. It's ridiculously beautiful and responsive. As a standalone keyboard, it's VERY sturdy and easy to type on - I'm going to be totally dependent on regular keyboards from now on. This is a great purchase for anyone who are looking for a true custom RGB backlit keyboard. 10/10 would buy again Edit: Bought at the end of February, now it's May 11th and my "W" key started to wobble. I should have held it longer while playing and hesitated every now and then. This is probably my most used gaming key and also the most used when typing, so I think it makes sense. They provided spare switches to replace it and after doing so I played a few rounds and it seemed to be resolved. Also, it's *not* a loud keyboard per se, but the keys are where the noise comes into play. It can get noisy but I bought some o-rings after reading someone else tried it, and I am pleasantly surprised by the results. It feels the same and has a muted sound. I am very happy with this keyboard so far and just hope that the faulty switch was a one time use. Edit - June 12th I still love this keyboard. But but! I have used up my replacement switches and may need to order more. I still have the keys to leave the house. They don't stop working completely, but sometimes they need to be held down or wiggled before they activate. It happened with the 'W' key, with the 'S' key (both of which make it pretty difficult to play games), and now my 'n' key is giving me trouble. I love this keyboard and not sure if it's common, but my old membrane keyboard never did that. I am contacting Redragon to see if anything can be done. I'm hesitant to deduct more stars, but otherwise this is a solid keyboard and I've only had it for 3.5 months at the moment. Fingers crossed! Edit: 6/20/2020 Support was fast, efficient and seemed really cared for. They were quick and took care of my problems. I love my keyboard and am very happy with this purchase.
