Review on West Bend Hi-Rise Bread Maker Programmable for Gluten Free & More - 12 Programs, 3-Pound, Gray by Scott Carlile

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Appears to be very good quality.

I use it for making dough rather than baking bread. I will say that I have baked several 3 pound loaves of multigrain bread in it and the results have impressed me. Crust settings are pretty accurate. My previous bread maker had to be set to a light crust, otherwise the crust would be too dark. When I take the bread out of the machine, the blades stay on the pan so I don't have to fish them out of the bread. Cleaning is also easy. My family loves making pizza and bun dough, so we use the dough cycle more than any other feature. My old little bread maker could handle my 3 cup flour pizza dough recipe with no problem, but it was really difficult to mix my 5 cup flour bun dough recipe. This model might take a little longer to prepare the dough than my old one, but there is a definite difference in the dough itself, for both bun and pizza dough. The extra kneading and proofing cycle this model has over my old one definitely results in a better end product. This unit easily handles a 5 cup batter recipe. I think he can do even more. Great product, I would buy again!
