This is a regular hair dryer but that's a plus - some 'upscale' have features I don't need or use. This is a simple 3 speed fan: cold; warm low; and warm high. The switch has no indication of which speed has been selected, but this is easy to understand. It also has a cold shot button that turns off the heat when pressed. This is a useful feature. Including diffuser and concentrator. I really like that the tips use tabs and grooves so they snap when attached rather than just having a friction system. It's easy to use and the tips stay in place during use (or storage). It also has a GFI switch that shuts off power in the event of a short circuit. This is a nice security feature even when plugged into a GFI outlet. The performance was very good - lots of air and excellent heat values. Zero performance claims. The noise level during operation is acceptable. The only comment I have is that the handle is made of smooth plastic and it would be useful to have a non-slip coating or liner. However, it doesn't matter. It gets the job done, is easy to use, has useful features, and works well. Good price.
