For 1/3 the price of a factory converter I really didn't expect it to power our 12v Dometic fridge very well or last very long. I'm happy to report that this converter has been running non-stop in our fridge since it arrived, and can even power two fridges (5A each) without getting hot at all. This converter is well built and looks good thanks to the long power cord. The 12V socket is not flimsy and securely holds the connected accessories. It's not as bulky and doesn't have as loud a fan as the Schumacher 1216 12V 15 amp power converter that died on me. I am very happy with this purchase. TO UPDATE. Two years later and it's powering my fridge. almost continuously.
