My son is 16 slim and hard to find. Since this 16 had an adjustable waist, I was hoping it would be enough to get the job done. It's not like this. Good pants, but too big for the owner of a small waist. I can't answer/assess the durability of the pants as we had to send them back because they were too big. If you have a normal 16 waist, you'll probably like these.
