Bought these for a party and ended up using them a lot more! Makes great snow cones and is very easy to use. Yes - it gets dirty! It's SPIRIT! You crush the ice and it melts! I use this outside or at the very edge of a kitchen counter with a rug/towel on the floor. We did 100 sno-cones this summer and had no problems. I always let it dry before putting it away or pat dry with paper towels. This is not intended for use by children and requires adult supervision. There were many people who wanted me to send them information as they also want to buy. We make adult skittles and bring them to friends at parties. Excellent investment
