I was reluctant about buying this for my kid’s bedrooms, because I didn’t think it would make enough difference to be worth the installation effort. But I was juuust desperate enough to give it a shot, because their rooms become dangerously hot during the summer months (as they receive direct sunlight during a large portion of the day).Before I installed the tinting, when I would enter their rooms in the morning (9am ish) the heat was sweltering. If the boys were sleeping in (teenagers, what can I say), they were always glistening with perspiration, despite the black-out curtains and the number of box and oscillating fans in their respective rooms!Now that I have installed the tinting, upon entering their rooms, it’s still warm (it is still summer, after all), but now, it’s the kind of heat you can offset effectively with an oscillating fan (not the kind that might actually cause you to, like, pass out from heat stroke, HA!).I’m so impressed by the difference this product has made!I was also very pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t nearly as challenging to install as I had anticipated it was going to be! I installed it on my own, and I prioritized speed over perfection, and I still feel I did a passable job (and it didn’t take me more than about 20 min per window, from start to finish—each window being appx 30” x 40”).I wish I had measured the windows in advance rather than "ball-parking it,” because I did end up having to lay a few of pieces from the tinting roll next to one another horizontally in order to cover the entire window. this left a visible seam, but that’s on me for my shoddy attention to detail when ordering (I should have ordered larger sheetsof the tinting material).See video to view "seam” I mentioned as well as a side by side comparison between tinted and non-tinted windows.Highly recommended!
