I replaced some old headphones that I use for watching/listening to music and YouTube videos. I didn't understand what "studio headphones" means. I think I thought it meant good sound quality and well made. What I didn't realize was how heavy they are and how warm the cuffs are on the inside. They are probably best for recording studios or DJs as they take up the most time. They're just uncomfortable to wear over long periods of time, at least when sitting at a table in front of a computer monitor. Their audio quality seemed good, but I suspect the audio fidelity of most YouTube videos is marginal at best, so they're probably overkill anyway, but for $20 they seemed like a steal. I didn't hook it up to my stereo and play a high quality CD as I really need full surround sound with a booming subwoofer for this purpose. So, I think they're fine for the right purpose, but I'm not sure what exactly.
