I know these are kid's knives but I was hoping they were a bit sharper. These are very stupid. They actually work by applying force to the cutting object and moving the hand back and forth to eventually cut through. When you cut soft vegetables (like tomatoes), the tomato becomes pulp, not a slice or cube, and slicing even cucumbers requires significant effort. I have a very strong 5 year old who loved helping his mother cook but she didn't like it at all. You don't really need 3 knives either, just one is enough - the rest is a waste of time. Of course you don't have to worry about safety, but they really are bad at the job they were bought for.
