Review on Klein Tools 55600 Work Cooler: 17-Quart Lunch Box for Tradesmen - Keep Lunch Cool for 30 Hours, Seats 300 Lb, Holds 18 Cans - Tradesman Pro Tough Box by Mike Rubenstein

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beats every other lunchtime cooler we've tried.

Definitely a 5 star cooler for my husband's dinners. Easily holds 3-4 bottles of water, a large glass lunch container, snacks, protein bars, a small naked juice, yogurt, 1 monster and more depending on what his day is like. We use 2-10" x 15" Therma Freeze sheets cut in half. Food stays cold and Therma sheets are frozen even after more than 12 hours of shift. He installs it on a commercial refrigerator at work because it takes up a lot of space and doesn't need to be refrigerated. The lid opens 180° so he can put things on top and figure out what he wants out of it. The lid has a small compartment on the latch for cutlery, serviettes, whatever. The other half of the lid is recessed to provide the extra height needed for water bottles. Has a lockable lid if needed. We don't lock it but make sure it stays closed with the carabiner we had in the drawer. It has a very nice, wide shoulder strap that is adjustable and shoulder padding for more comfort. It works indoors so doesn't need to be used as a seat, but I see bringing it to camping this summer. You really can't go wrong with a Klien product. My husband was very happy that it matched his client backpack. They also stand behind their gear with a great warranty and great customer service. I don't think he'll ever need to change the lunch fridge unless he loses it. Great purchase considering how much money we wasted on packed lunches, fridges etc which went out of service within a year or two. The only downside to this fridge is that it's ribbed and bulky. That's a plus for my husband. If I were to order my own lunch cooler, I would go for the soft-walled Klien cooler. Personal preference only. We have a friend who works outside and throws everything in his truck. After seeing ours he plans on getting one because it will withstand the abuse from the mess in the back of his rig.
