That's a great USB stick, does a good job of encryption. It would be a five star product if it didn't have a "feature". There is a serial number on the data carrier itself. If you have a drive and have "forgotten" your password, you can simply email the serial number to the manufacturer, who will send you a password to regain access to the drive. The problem is that anyone can do it. One of the reasons I need an encrypted drive is that if I lose it and someone else finds it, they won't be able to access the data. All they have to do is email the device serial number and they will get the backdoor password to access the device. As long as the person who "finds" the drive doesn't know about it, I'm fine - if they do, the data on the drive is far from secure.
