Review on πŸ’ͺ Stylish and Secure Replacement Bands for Garmin Vivofit - SKYLET Silicone Bands (No Tracker) by Jon Thibeault

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Compared to the OEM strap I would rate it 3*; but I would buy it again

The material is softer than the OEM Garmin strap and other posts have noted that the paint on the metal clasp wore off within a week. I found that to snap it back into place once a day, I had to squeeze the rubber band around the edge of the vivofit; It doesn't detach enough to make the Garmin fall out, but it's aesthetically striking that it's out of place. Size: I used to wear a small Garmin strap and was able to zip up the last few holes for the perfect fit. The small size of this strap is about 1 hole smaller/tighter. I had to go with the big one. Feature: The zipper mechanism is not as reliable as the OEM. Sometimes I find that one of the two teeth is a bit loose. On the OEM strap, the security strap has been designed perfectly so that it doesn't increase the thickness of the clasp, but they have a relatively thick rubber strap to secure the clasp, which I don't like. The mounting strap is designed to insert into the hole if you have tape left over when wearing it, and it probably works well in that case, but not in my case when I have to wear it over the clasp

Cons
  • Very expensive
