Review on Tripp Lite TLP1008TEL 10 Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip with 8ft Cord, Tel/DSL Protection, RJ11 and $150,000 Insurance - Silver by John Beltran

First off, I'm the type of person who spends hours reviewing a product to make sure I'm getting the best. The Tripp Lite 10 was mentioned on several review sites and was in the top three (3) most of the time, so I decided to give it a try. I bought it for our new set of power seats. A furniture salesman told me to get one of those "battery packs" that need to be charged every week and only get 200-500 tilts in a period. I figured it looked like work and I'd be upset if I forgot to charge it, so I considered surge protectors. My wife and I had an instant opportunity to experience the best features! I hooked everything up when I got home from work and it just so happened that we had a storm that caused a power outage. Everything connected to the surge protector, including the lamp, speakers and chair, turned off! This is by far the best feature you could ask for other than Joule as it lets you know when the surge protection kicks in! I have two other surge protectors and I have no idea if they are operational as all devices stay on during power surges. It's good to know when a product is working or when it's not working, and Tripp Lite has it. Basically, when the hardware you connected to Tripp Lite stops working completely, you know it's no longer active, so it's time to replace it. With other products, they may stop working and you don't know what could damage these devices in the event of a power surge. Tripp Lite also has very good spacing between plug-ins. It doesn't have a swivel function like some, but I don't think it's necessary given the space Tripp Lite offers. All in all a great product for joule and auto shut off features. I will definitely replace my others with Tripp lite. I highly recommend!
