The lights are simple and easy to install for anyone with electrical experience. Get help from a knowledgeable friend or electrician if needed. We love the look of the lamp, which is particularly emphasized by the style of the lamp built into the lamp. Philips Hue Edison ST19 bulbs (not included) are actually more expensive than an incandescent bulb, but they look great and offer standalone Bluetooth or network control (with a hub). The lamp has a black base that goes well with the lamp. As mentioned in other reviews, changing a lightbulb is a hassle due to the design, but we don't plan on changing lightbulbs very often. You can see in the photos that there are brass pushbutton switches on the light. They are NOT included and have been installed on the instrument as they are not connected to a separate switch. The brass switches were easy to install and added a nice finishing touch to the sconces.
