Although the original packaging was opened and slightly bent, the product contained all 8 packs and a bottle of stain remover. Please note that this is a refill kit. For dry cleaning, you need a special zippered bag from the starter kit to clean your items. I cleaned my first full bag last night and it worked great. After going in the dryer for 15 minutes, I immediately took off my slightly damp sweater and jacket and smoothed the hangers with my fingers. Result: no wrinkles, pleasantly soft smell (not sharp, like a fabric refreshment spray), no shrinkage. My expensive branded yarn has kept its perfect shape and looks beautiful. Nothing was very dirty to begin with so I didn't use a stain remover. New downside: I was disappointed by the warnings not to use Dryel on silk or rayon (nor on leather, velvet, suede or fur like the original), which was new to me. I have used Dryel in the past with great success on silk blouses, silk knit tops and pants and viscose fabrics with excellent results and intend to take the risk and continue to do so. It is obvious that the cleaning pad can stain silk. I'm trying to fit a few light items together in one load, which presumably allows the pillow to roll freely, and this might explain my success.
