Very reliable camera for every need

A little about my experience: I am not a professional photographer and have no experience with various devices. Photography is my hobby and 90 percent landscape. To give you an idea check out my Instagram: place_of_adventures. Until recently I had a Nikon D5500 and a Sigma 18-35mm. It was a good combination, IQ is great for my needs. But weight and size. I travel and travel a lot so I decided on something smaller and bought a Lumix LX100. Cool little camera. I liked the manual dials and they were tiny. I can't see the difference in IQ between this and Nikon until you zoom/crop and go past ISO 1600. After a while with the LX100 I realized I needed a longer zoom and started learning ILC again. I thought about taking GX85 with 12-35mm and 45-150mm or PEN-F with 12-40mm and 45-150mm. The PEN-F is nice, but I often use a tripod and its screw mount is oddly placed. Also, it meant increasing the size of the lens (12-40 vs. 12-35) and possibly extra support. went for the GX9 and finally arrived (12-60mm kit lens for sale). Already have 12-35mm. I really like how it feels in my hand, very durable and comfortable. I liked the electronic viewfinder in the LX100 and the GX9 has one, which I really like. I know most of you think it's awful compared to others but I have nothing to compare it to so I like it. Focusing is quick, but that doesn't really bother me. IBIS is great, which comes in very handy when using a long zoom. I think it works very well at ISO 3200, I was surprised. The tilt screen is good, the tilt EVF isn't that important, but it's handy at times. Enough customizable buttons for my needs and manual dials are comfortable. Nothing more to say. It's a camera and it can take great photos if you know what you're doing and it's easy to use too. I really like it :) Here are some examples. They are all shot in RAW and lightly processed in LR. Clock at ISO 3200 removed from the hands.

Pros
  • Digital cameras
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
