I didn't see any feedback on the button fading so I took a chance and hoped for the best. They looked great right out of the box. However, when I felt the same soft-touch material as the lighter Extremerate cases, I got really worried. However, I insisted and took the time to swap out the joycons. The only reason I bought these buttons and a new shell is because their sakura pink shell turned disgusting, so I went with a translucent cherry pink instead to avoid that problem. Except now it shows up in buttons. I wish I could say I dipped my hands in the Cheeto dust and smeared them over the buttons because that's what it looks like. Except that discoloration doesn't wash off at all. I wanted so badly for these keys to be "protected" from the nasty discoloration of some of their skins, but apparently they haven't fixed that problem yet. For information: The letters in the keys, such as A, B, X, Y, R and ZR, are the original color of the keys. They were bright and perfect, so much so I could barely read the letters on the buttons. After a few hours of play, even in low light, I see painfully obvious discoloration, which is a glaring shame. Tip if you see any of Extremerate's case colors listed as 'soft to the touch' which is basically their pastel/light colors. , AVOID THEM like the plague and don't get buttons of the same color. It is not worth wasting time and money on these products if after a few hours or even months they become discolored. Don't make the same mistake I did.
