When I ordered this I thought I was ordering cat food not kitten food as the Revain product name was Blue Buffalo Baby Blue Healthy Growth Formula Grain Free High Protein, Natural Moist Cat Food with Kitten Pate, Chicken Recipe, 3 oz Jars (Pack of 24) (Chicken, 3 oz. (Pack of 24)). However, after I received my order, the title was corrected to "Blue Buffalo Baby Blue Healthy Growth Formula Grain Free High Protein, Natural Nass Cat Food with Kitten Pate, Chicken Recipe, 3 oz Jars (Pack of 24 )". I'm not entirely upset about this though because I also ordered their other cat food to use even though I wasn't expecting this order to be cat food. At the current price of $40.75, that works out to $1.70 per ounce for a 3-pack, which is pricey but still competitively priced for such brands. There are 24 cans in the pack. The first ingredients: chicken, chicken broth, salmon oil, potatoes, guar gum, flaxseed, etc. It has a lot of protein for kittens. I have three older cats that need to gain some weight. One of my cats is so old (about 19 years old) and skinny that he needs to gain at least 7 pounds. So it's not just for growing kittens, it's for adult cat weight gain, just those who need calories. Otherwise, adult cats should not eat kitten food as the extra calories will lead to weight gain. Blue Buffalo is a fine meal in my opinion. Two of my three adult cats liked it. Unfortunately, my older cat didn't even try. Instead he just left. Both of my cats love this food and ate it straight away. My skinniest cat, who is now about four pounds, wouldn't touch this. Despite his answer, this meal was a hit, but it's pricey. This is good for kittens or adult cats that need extra calories to gain weight.
