The package arrived on time and was in good condition. No dents or breaks. This scratching post consists of many parts and must be assembled. Directions are just useless. They are very difficult to understand and many parts were mislabeled so it didn't help. There are a few different sized screws that just throw in the bag and the instructions don't tell you where to use the different sizes so it's all a guessing game. You will need an Allen key for assembly, as this is not included in the scope of delivery. When we get everything together it makes a good scratching post and a good size for a cat or two. The wood is strong and will not lean or lean. Our cat is very big but he seems to like it. Overall the quality of this $79.99 cat tree (at the time of this review) is really good, just the instructions are rubbish. If they were clear and easy to read it would have earned 5 stars.
