I'm not a television or electronics engineer, I don't have a device to measure the input/output of the device. So I can't say how much signal amplification this device achieves. , or if present. But I can read it from the display on the TV. I bought this unit because I wanted to take care of the sporadic signal on the ABC channel. After I installed the device between the end of the antenna cable and the TV connector "from the antenna", not only was the problem with this channel not resolved, I even lost the KQED channel completely. money wasted!
