I bought this 8BitDo controller to use primarily on the computer, but I've seen it work on the Nintendo Switch as well, which was a great addition to use. I chose the one that resembled the old SNS controller since it was my favorite controller in the 90's. I have the original wired SNS controllers and have used them for comparison and it seems to me that all the buttons work very similarly. The plastic is slightly different but not sure if it's better or worse, just different, I put an asterisk on the material as I wasn't sure if it was good or bad. This controller feels the same as the original in my hands, so the feel and grip is about the same as the original SNS controller. I no longer have a Mac and Android device so I couldn't test it on them, so reviews of how it works on those devices should be written by someone who has used it on those devices. Gameplay: I've used it on several Nintendo Switch games as well as some classic Namco games on the Switch and they all worked well with no controller lag. I've used it for Minecraft on the Switch and the Windows 10 version and both worked the same with no issues. I also used it to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 on PC with flawless performance. If there's a lag because it's a wireless controller, I haven't noticed a drop. Battery Life: Battery life is better than my Switch Pro Controller. I can't really tell the exact time difference, I just know my son had to charge the pro controller while I kept playing with it and both were fully charged just before use and both with the same playtime. Also. I didn't play right away as I don't play games 24 hours straight, so testing lasted for several days, so battery drain was minimal even in sleep mode. Suggested Improvements: My main complaint is that I knew this wouldn't work on iOS devices, there's a possible device swap, which is basically a downgrade to make it work, but why would I turn it down when it works fine ? every other platform I've tried. So my suggested improvement would be a new update which would not be a downgrade but an update to make it work on iOS devices. There are so many games that I would love to use it on iOS. I don't want to use a controller specific to these devices if I have this controller that I want to use on them. Conclusion: Overall, the controller is better than I expected. I've heard about 8BitDo for a while but I assumed it was all just hype and that the end product would be very cheap, but that's not the case at all. It looks mass-produced, even coming in a color similar to the original SNS controllers. Some people might not like the ergonomics of the controller, but if you like the nostalgic feel of the SNS controller when playing new games, this controller won't let you down.
