Cute little table-top Christmas tree

My wife likes to decorate for Christmas. We have a couple of chairs with a small table between them on the front porch of our home, and she usually likes to put a fake poinsettia plant on the table. It looks nice from the street and complements our other decorations. The problem is, the fake plant is way too light in weight, and it's very breezy around here most of the time. So the poinsettia doesn't stay put but often blows over and off the table. We ordered this little tree to replace the poinsettia, and when the package arrived I could tell right away that it would be more suitable - it has a decent amount of weight to it. The weight is mostly in the base, and it's a good idea to have a weighty base even indoors where brushing past it could easily knock it over if it was lighter. So we'll see how it behaves on the breezy patio. Even if it doesn't work out there, it would make a fine addition to our indoor decorations. The ad states that this tree is 24 inches tall. I only measured 22, but maybe I didn't extend the top branch enough (it comes in a smallish box so the boughs are all folded up tight to the center and the top one is folded over). Unfolding the boughs includes moving the pine cones, berry-looking things (which are tied to the tree with wire), and LED light bulbs around so there is a fairly even distribution of them. I actually didn't do as much of that kind of arranging as should have been done before I took the pictures and video of the tree for this review. But I wanted to leave some of the aesthetic adjustments for my wife.It is a really attractive decoration, though. But it does shed a fair bit when being properly unfurled and adjusted, so do that work in an area that is easy to clean off when done. The battery box that holds the power source for the LEDs (3-AA batteries - not included) has a button to switch between different lighting modes, such as different flashing and fade effects, as well as a mode that leaves all the bulbs on all the time. I personally like the one that comes on with the first button press the best.I think that there are sufficient decorative elements on the tree already, what with the berry things, the pine cones, and the lights. But for those who prefer additional adornments, small ornaments can be added. Would make a fine addition to any home's Christmas decorations, but if you have a housecat like ours, you may need to keep the tree out of their reach, since as soon as our Mia saw it she started to nibble on the boughs!
