I bought on Ali ear pads for them 3 cm thick. In vain I did it - the sound becomes worse due to the greater distance from the emitter to the ear. The small thickness of the stock ear pads is what you need. With its pros: Great sound! But, they need a good reinforcement. I listen through Xduoo MT-602. If directly from a sound card (Roland Rubix22) - the sound is poorer due to the weaker amplification at the headphone output. Before buying these ears, Sony MDR-7506 were permanently at home. Sonya thought good monitor ears. Now, with a direct connection, the advantage of fostexes is obvious on all fronts. I recommend (with a caveat: they need additional reinforcement)! Has some cons: In the stock version, there is no way to connect a balanced cable. Only soldering.
