Review on Gardman R352 Black Garden Obelisk - 96" High For Elevated Garden Style by Nick Childs
You will need to pound 18-inch-deep guide holes into the ground in order to properly install this.
The finished obelisk is nice but I have reduced stars on my review for the following reasons:1. One of the screw holes on one of the rings was stripped2. The hollow metal pole provided for creating guide holes is nearly useless. In our heavy clay soil it took a great deal of time and effort to create the 4 18-inch-deep holes. I even had to borrow a maul from a friend because a hammer was inadequate. In the process of pounding the 4th hole the hollow metal pole broke off in the ground and we had to dig a hole to get it out.
