Scobie takes forever to "mature ".

Scobie is still too skinny and nowhere near as healthy as the staple I got from a friend. I finally gave in and added two more healthy staples to see if this diaphanous, skinny guy would thrive. Nothing yet. Luckily my friend sent me 4 very healthy staples that he grew himself and I've been brewing the best kombucha ever since. Moral of the story: Find a friend who has a healthy staple and ask them if they'd mind giving you one or two. you are much better
