The cable is of decent quality and works for my purposes. Used this with an old 80mm fan to add active cooling to my Raspberry Pi since it only had passive heatsinks on the RAM and SOC. Lowered the temperature by 15-20 degrees depending on the ambient temperature. Since these cables actually only switch the case fan to 5V operation (which will also be the case at lower speeds), you should be aware that not all case fans run at 5V. You may have to try a few fans to see which run 5V as PC case fans are usually only rated for 12V so some of them may not run at all. There are some fans that are designed to run at full speed from 5V (Noctua offers some 5V models for example) but this was a slightly cheaper option and I didn't need the full speed of it for my purposes 12v. I am using this with an Arctic F8 80mm fan connected directly to the USB port of a Raspberry Pi.
