Not strong enough for WFH situation

I was very happy that this extension would improve my WFH situation. However, I was very confused when my MacBook Air was plugged into a USB-C PD port and charged during a Zoom video but actually lost battery power. I contacted Anker's support and got a quick explanation - apparently using the USB-A ports reduces the USB-C output power from 30W to 18W. I'm considering returning it for an extender that supports all my devices at the same time can, as this was not clear in the listing.
