I had high hopes for these bulbs, knowing that diodes should last longer than halogen. These headlights were easy to fit, although the weatherproof hardware for the back of the traditional headlights has to be removed (save them, trust me). I immediately felt that the headlights were too bright for other drivers, but to be honest they gave me incredible visibility, even through some slightly oxidized headlight housings. At the time of writing I was about 7 months old and one of my headlights had already failed. I just replaced them with halogens which are cheaper. I really think they are just reverse engineered and unfortunately not successful. Since it's August in the outskirts of Colorado, I bet these bugs have gotten too hot. I should have been careful when I saw the high-speed fans mounted on the back of each device. Also, the materials making up the lanterns seem to wear out sooner than expected, note the oxidation in the attached images. TLDR: Bright flashlights which may not save you money in the long run as mine overheated within a year of purchase.
