It was up to the user to decide between the Porta Pro and the Sennheiser HD202. I went with KOSS, and I don't regret it at all! The sound is really good, and they are very comfortable to wear on one's head. These are some of the benefits. It is really enjoyable to listen to tracks that use bass (such as those by Dropkick Murphys, Linkin Park, or the Guru Josh project, for example). When the equalization is adjusted appropriately, the bass may be heard all the way up to the top of the head. These headphones are all "too tough" (or, more accurately, "on the ears") to use for long periods of time. You have the option of listening to oldies as well as electronic music, watching movies, or playing computer games. Obviously, these are not "home" ears (or monitors), yet despite that, they are quite ubiquitous. Having these drawbacks: Many people have stated that the wires have a tendency to kink. This is not an essential point. While they were still brand new, I took great care to encase them in three layers of black electrical tape (this was done not all the way around, of course, but only close to the "ears" themselves). Now, there is no longer any need for you to solder))
