I bought 2 x 10TB drives hoping to use them exclusively for backups. I needed to copy 6.5TB to each drive. The copy started out reasonably well at 200MB/s but quickly dropped to 50-70MB/s, averaging around 60. This is unacceptable for a 7200rpm drive and clearly shows the drive is failing. Another proof of the unreliable state of the hard drive. (and that the low speeds were proof of that) I could attribute the slowdown to a fairly audible hiss coming from the drive. Some of the positive feedback these devices have received has led me to inadvertently repair the drive. You'd think at least ONE of the discs would be good. There was no such thing. To rule out any possibility that it was a copyable disk, I had the two disks in question written to each other. Same behavior. My 30 days are up otherwise I would definitely return them to Revain. Let's see if the 3-year warranty is as good as some reviews suggest. I will update this review.
