In the end there is TL;DR. I just want to start this tirade by saying that I really like my Klear bottle, but it has a design flaw that I can't address. trouble it caused me. The insulating properties of this drinking bottle are in no way inferior to a hydroflask. That's less than half the price of Hydro Flask. Honestly, it's more aesthetically pleasing than Hydro Flask. However, I do find fault with the cheap plastic that is the strap loop on the lid. Because this bottle is so big I can't carry it in the elastic pockets on my back or it will fall out and hit the ground every time I take off my backpack. That's why I like to carry it on my backpack with a metal clip. However, the strap on the lid broke after wearing it on a clip on my backpack for a little over two months. When it broke I was carrying it on my backpack and it fell down making a very loud noise and scaring me to death. The cap itself (which I'm trying to hold on to because I've had too many leaks because it wasn't tight enough) actually fell off the bottle in the fall, spilling water all over the place. I invested in a Hydro Flask flip-up cap because these things are virtually indestructible. It seems to fit, but there's a lot of leakage when the bottle is on its side or upside down. I think the bottle waste might have something to do with the leak problem. I'll put the original cap back on and see if it leaks. I just want to replace it with another Klear bottle cap, but I'm uncomfortable knowing that the cap only lasts two months. The more durable Klear Bottle Loop caps on their website are currently sold out so I'm out of options. A bottle but the cheap plastic on the lid broke after two months of use. This resulted in the bottle falling unhappily and may have caused my current bottle leak problem. I have to give it 3 stars for how much stress and hassle it caused me.
