I simply bought these for the bars. (The replacement bars were $20 a piece and I could get two 1" bars for $35 with this kit.) If you need the 1" bars for a tube clamp that accepts 7/8" bars, these are perfect. The bar is 1" but reduced to 7/8" at the clamp point. (I have a 2002 Honda Shadow 1100. That bike has 41mm tubes and needs 41mm clamps. Simply buy both sets, the 41mm clamps with 7/8" bars and the 39mm clamps with 1" bars. It's cheaper than finding 41mm clamps with 1" bars. If I get lucky I can sell these 7/8" bars and 39mm clamps to someone else.)
