Ideal for toddlers learning to put on their own shoes. My 2.5 year old son loves them too - he's a shoe snob! -- His school asks us to send a pair of rubber-soled "slippers" for the days his shoes get wet, etc. These are great shoes for this age; They help to develop independence and self-confidence. However, 8 is actually 7.5 compared to the top 3 brands of children's shoes. Also, my son is right on the 7.5 line, although he still fits in his 7.5. His toes were right over it. They also seem to have a great width which my son needs.
