Review on πŸ“± Sony SWR10 SmartBand with NFC, Waterproof IP58 - Compatible with Android 4.4 KitKat and higher by Tonya Jones

Revainrating 4 out of 5

good concept poor execution

I had a lot of problems with the tape and I really wanted to like it! I bought it to track general activity and sleep and get notifications. First you need to install many apps for it to work and events to be logged. I think I should have set 4? The applications are easy to use, the band itself is very light and comfortable to wear all day, sometimes it sweats through the rubber, but it's not very annoying. It charges quickly and the single button that controls the bracelet is easy to use and knows what you're doing with simple combinations. As far as activity tracking goes, it was great! I have a g4 with a built in pedometer and the number of bracelets and number of phones have always been very close in step count each day. I've never trained with this group, but I don't consider it a fitness group. It talks about the difference between walking and running or driving a car, it tracks how much time you spend on different types of media (cool, but not quite sure what it means?), As far as I can tell, sleep tracking has a good did. One of the main reasons I bought the bracelet was the smart alarm clock (which wakes you up 30 minutes earlier depending on your sleep cycle) and I got it to work 2 times (not in a row) in the 2 weeks I've been using it . Both times he woke up right after the 30 minute mark, no matter how long the light sleep was after the deep one, but he did as he said. The band will vibrate and wake you up, which is quiet but effective. The other 12 times I tried to use the alarm functions it didn't even vibrate. I've tried everything to get it working, from reinstalling apps to setting an alarm for every night, but it didn't work. For this reason I sent the bracelet back. Notifications worked flawlessly every time. Although I had my watch left and got my mail and it vibrated and told me my phone was inside which was pretty cool. I might try a Sony smartwatch next time, but I won't be trying this bracelet again without some major upgrades and fewer apps.
